Scare Me Out of my Childhood?! Thanks Tim

Why does Tim Burton have to take everything to the 'N'-th degree? Apparently he's redoing the children's classic 'Alice in Wonderland'. But of course he has to do it 'Tim Burton'-style. Gaudy, scary and a little spooky to be honest.
He already destroyed my all-time favorite childhood movie Willy Wonka. His version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is such a horrible re-make of a cult classic.
Yep, only my humble opinion. But some things should just be left alone.
It's like when the decided to 'colorize' some of the black and white classics. The movie 'It's a Wonderful Life' should always be in black and white.
Just sayin'.
